BEVERLY, Mass.— Connolly Brothers Inc. has completed a new 40,000-square-foot aircraft hangar for FlightLevel Aviation at Beverly Regional Airport in Danvers, Massachusetts. The ground-up design-build project provides additional aircraft storage capacity for the private fixed base operator (FBO) located at the airport’s west entrance.

The pre-engineered building was designed to accommodate two private aircraft with wingspans of up to 104 feet. The facility includes infrared heating, high-bay lighting, restroom facilities, storage areas and dedicated electrical rooms.

Connolly Brothers served as both architect of record and construction manager for the project, overseeing construction and coordinating the work required to deliver the new aviation facility.

The project also involved extensive sitework and the installation of a comprehensive mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) package, including a fire pump system.

“The coordination and logistical demands on this project were significant. Projects like this are where our depth of experience, and our ability to keep a complex job moving, make the difference,” said Jay Connolly, president and CEO of Connolly Brothers. “We look forward to seeing the impact this new hangar has on FlightLevel’s continued growth and hope to collaborate with FlightLevel on future projects.”

Beverly Regional Airport (BVY) is one of Massachusetts’ busiest municipal general aviation airports, requiring careful coordination to maintain daily operations during construction.

According to Connolly Brothers, the project involved a lengthy and complex permitting and zoning process. Close collaboration among the construction team, airport stakeholders and other project participants was essential to completing the work without disrupting airport activity.

The project demonstrates the logistical considerations involved in developing specialized aviation facilities within an active airport environment, where construction schedules and site activities must be coordinated with ongoing operations.

FlightLevel Aviation CEO Peter Eichleay praised Connolly Brothers for its work on the project, highlighting the contractor’s delivery of the hangar on schedule.

“Connolly Brothers Inc. has been an exceptional business partner, exceeding expectations through the successful, on-time delivery of our hangar project,” Eichleay said. “FlightLevel Aviation looks forward to partnering with CBI again on our next project.”

FlightLevel Aviation is also seeking prospective users for the new hangar space at Beverly Regional Airport. Interested parties can contact the company at 978-774-2070.

In addition to Connolly Brothers, the project team included D&D Electrical Contractors Inc., Dave Allen & Company LLC, DJ Plumbing and Heating Inc., J. Masterson Construction, Platinum Fire Protection and Tech Mechanical Systems Inc.

The completed facility adds specialized aircraft storage capacity at Beverly Regional Airport while providing FlightLevel Aviation with infrastructure to support its operations and future growth.
