Hilco Redevelopment Partners (HRP) has announced that 400 Wood Road, a 157,000 square foot Class-A GMP/advanced manufacturing facility in Braintree, MA, has welcomed The First Electronics Corporation (FEC) as its first tenant. FEC specializes in custom electrical assemblies for harsh environments.
To celebrate FEC’s occupancy and the resulting investment and job creation, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the facility on May 28, attended by HRP and FEC leadership, employees, and Braintree Mayor Erin Joyce.
Mayor Joyce welcomed FEC and its employees to Braintree, highlighting the town’s support for manufacturing engineering businesses. HRP acquired 400 Wood Road in August 2019 and has transformed it into a best-in-class GMP/advanced manufacturing facility with the support of the Town of Braintree. FEC’s facility is expected to create over 200 permanent jobs.
HRP’s Chief Investment Officer, Andrew Chused, expressed excitement about welcoming FEC as a tenant, emphasizing the goal of attracting industry-leading tenants to Braintree. FEC’s President, Will Donnellan, stated that the move to 400 Wood Road was essential for the business to grow and succeed in serving the aerospace and defense markets.
400 Wood Road is located on over 14 acres of land with high visibility along I-93 in Braintree. FEC’s lease brings the facility to full occupancy, with the second tenant, Integra LifeSciences, currently building out its 100,000 square feet.
Overall, the redevelopment of 400 Wood Road has been a success, attracting top-tier tenants and contributing to economic activity in Braintree.
