KB Home has promoted Casey Dare to president of its Tampa division, where he will oversee homebuilding operations across the region, the company announced.

In his new role, Dare will be responsible for land acquisition, sales, construction and customer service for the publicly traded homebuilder’s Tampa business. KB Home has been building in the Tampa market since 2002 and continues to add new communities as the region’s population and housing demand grow.

Dare brings more than 20 years of homebuilding experience and has spent the past 10 years with KB Home in a range of operational and customer-facing leadership roles. His positions with the company have included superintendent, customer service manager, director of customer service and operations, senior vice president of operations and, most recently, executive vice president for the Orlando division.

“Casey brings an exceptional depth and breadth of experience to our Tampa division, executing on KB Home’s distinctive customer-centric business model,” Vince DePorre, KB Home’s East region president, said in a statement. “We are excited to have him extend his outstanding career at KB Home by leading the strategic growth of our Tampa operations.”

Dare holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Middle Tennessee State University and a Master of Business Administration from Georgia Southern University. Before entering homebuilding, he served eight years as an active-duty officer in the U.S. Army.
