U.S. Construction Spending Down Slightly in April

census bureau logoThe U.S. government is reporting that total construction spending in April, 2022 was at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $ 1,744.8 billion, which is 0.2% lower than March’s revised estimate and 12.3% higher than one year ago.  Residential construction came in at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $ 891.5 billion in April, which is 0.9% higher March’s revised estimate.
